The idea was born
After spending 5 years in Australia, Steve returned to the United Kingdom with his family and decided to start selling the same popular high quality grain free recipes, this time, on his new online shop. He engaged the help of his oldest son Jack and together they created nourish pet food. Their objective was to offer high quality grain free recipes to customers at an affordable price. They chose to sell exclusively direct to customers through their online website. This choice was aiming to give their customers the best price possible therefore avoiding over inflated prices from the majority of the other high protein grain free dog food brands on the market.
The idea was born
As an independent family owned and operated business, we have been in the pet industry for 3 generations. Our co-founder Steve formally run a very successful pet shop in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, for over 30 years. He sold our grain free recipes in his shop and they were extremely popular. The majority of his customers switched from other pet food brands thanks to our high quality grain free recipes. Steve eventually decided to sell the pet shop and emigrated with his family to Australia but he never forgot the quality and overwhelming popularity of our recipes.
2019 Nourish Pet Food was created

Nourish Pet Food 2020 - Introduction of cat food
In 2020, we took an exciting step forward by introducing our first-ever cat food, designed with both quality and nutrition in mind. Recognising the growing demand for healthier cat food options, we developed a grain-free complete formula that closely mirrors a cat’s natural diet. Our recipe features 70% high-quality meat for optimal protein intake and 30% vegetables for essential vitamins and minerals—ensuring a balanced, nutrient-rich meal for feline companions.
Nourish Pet Food 2021 - Moving into Our First Warehouse
As more and more pet lovers discovered our high-quality dog and cat food, demand for our products grew rapidly. To keep up with this growth and continue delivering the best nutrition for pets, we took a leap moving into a brand-new 3,000-square-foot warehouse. This expansion was a game-changer. With more space, we could stock a wider variety of products, introduce new recipes and flavors, and ensure faster, more efficient order fulfillment to make sure we could keep tails wagging and cats purring.
Nourish Pet Food 2022 - Introduction of our Natural Dry Dog & Cat Treat range
In 2022, we took a significant step forward by introducing our continuing growing range of 100% natural, grain-free dog and cat treats.
Our grain-free treat range are either air dried or carefully crafted using only natural ingredients, ensuring they are free from artificial preservatives, fillers, and additives. As we continue to innovate and expand our natural treat product range, we remain focused on delivering nutritious and delicious pet treats that promote happier, healthier lives for the pets we love.
Nourish Pet Food 2023 - Introduction of our Natural Supplement range
As part of our ongoing commitment to pet health and well-being, we took a bold step forward with the launch of our 100% natural supplement range for dogs and cats. Understanding that our customer want only the best for their furry companions, we set out to create a line of products that not only support their health but also align with our company’s values of quality, sustainability, and transparency. Our journey began with extensive research into the best natural ingredients that could benefit pets in meaningful ways. We collaborated with veterinarians, pet nutritionists, and holistic health experts to develop formulations that enhance immunity, digestion, joint health, skin, coat condition amongst many other benefits. Every ingredient was carefully selected to ensure it met our rigorous standards for purity and effectiveness.
Nourish Pet Food 2024 - Expanding Dog Food, Natural Treats & Supplement ranges
In 2024 we decided to build on our already existing product lines by introducing 2 new dry dog food recipes, 8 new natural supplements and 30+ new natural treats. We want to make sure we can offer as many natural products to give our customers more natural options in treating and supplementing their pets food.
Nourish Pet Food 2025
Nourish Pet Food celebrated its 6th birthday early in 2025. Since our inception in 2019, our team and our loyal customer base of dog and cat lovers has grown rapidly. We are currently responsible for 250,000 tasty meals a month with this number continually growing every day. This Year we are aiming to introduce many more new products expanding on the ranges we already have while at the very least introducing two new ranges. Our new grain free wet food which we have been working on formulating over the last few years, we are also looking to introduce three grain free 80/20 dog food recipes. Meet our Founders
Steve Ball
Steve was born into a family who have been in the pet industry for generations. His father used to be a manufacturer and distributer of raw food supplying pets nationwide as well as owning a chain of pet shops in the south east of England. Steve in his own right owned a successful pet shop in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, for over 30 years, developing a wealth of knowledge about dogs, cats and canine/feline nutrition.
Jack Ball
Jack is Steve’s son and has also been involved in the pet industry from a young age. At the age of 15, he was working as a Saturday boy in Steve’s pet shop. Jack is a qualified canine nutritionist and is passionate about dogs and cats, committed to making sure they live a long and happy life.
Meet our Chief Taster
Mizuki
Mizuki is a 7 year old female French Bulldog. She comes to work with us every day. She is an integral member of the Nourish team. She loves to smell and taste as many Nourish products as she can get her paws on. She loves our Nourish Senior salmon with trout, sweet potato and Asparagus dog food, her favourite treat is our dried beef liver.
